Interesting that a huge majority of the active rigs in the USA are drilling for natural gas. Don’t know if it’s always that way, but it seems like there might be some important points to be made about the relative lack of incentives and opportunity for domestic production of OIL.
Even with gasoline over $4 per gallon the Demagogues have many of the known fields closed to drilling. They babble about all the millions of acres of “leases” not being drilled but guess what, if the oil companies thought there were significant fields there they sure would be drilling......
