This is so cool, I’m very happy with the Republicans from yesterday and today.

Were they inviting taxpayers in the Chamber? Or were they still just stuck outside? I’d love to get involved in something just like this. Oh man

It is about a 7 hr drive to DC for us but if I knew something like this was going to happen we’d definately be interested in being there!

The Republican reps would escort them in, since in order for anyone to be on the floor, they have to be escorted by a congressman. My brother (an aid there at the house of rep) told me of at least one boy scout troop and several other families that were allowed in. I'm sure there were alot more. Congressmen were pulling in people how were just on the tour, and some folks from outside.

It was awesome .. totally spontaneous
participation by the visitors, who I
believe were invited to sit on the
floor, in the members’ seats ..lol.

Also read there was a Boy Scout group
there, a German military group and
tons of visitors, who had to have
had the experience of their lives ..
and all totally unexpected. And they
got involved, too.

Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) apparently went to the airport to go home but then turned around and came back. He walked into the House a few moments ago wheeling his suitcases behind him, prompting a huge round of applause and high-fives from his colleagues.”
