Not really, Bob. If he has shrapnel or other deep puncture wounds, he might have a pseudomonas bacterial infection that will eventually kill him. It's resistant to most antibiotics.
Ironically, the good doctor al Zawahiri may have got it from a medical care facility in his wonderful 7th century paradise.
