It’s very hard to overcome the MSM. They shill for the left. My landlord was just here. 35 yrs ago, he came here from Poland. I warned him about Obama. He listens to TV. I offered proof. He listens to TV. They don’t lie, do they? My point is, it’s next to impossible to feed the sheep the correct, truthful facts. My landlord is still voting Obama. Gas prices have the peoples attention. NOW is when they will listen. Most of America doesn’t move unless it’s an emergency.

Seems your landlord should study the 19th/20th century history of his Polish homeland. Surely his family, his ancestors experienced media manipulation. Surely his family, his ancestors experienced the hardships, the devastation attributable to this manipulation

I understand your point, but slogans and sit-ins do not equate to a comprehensive energy plan. What I am suggesting is that Republican leadership ought to come up with a comprehensive plan, similar to Newt's Contract with American, and then take it to the American people between now and November thought full page newspaper ads, Op-Ed articles, blogs, interviews, debates, stump speeches, letters to the editor, and bar banter. In the long run, this will be far more effective than throwing a temper tantrum that no one will remember by the middle of next week.

Note that a comprehensive energy plan is not a bunch of Republican Congressman yelling "Drill, Drill, Drill." Our comprehensive energy policy should advocate (a) the drilling for oil and natural gas in ANWAR, offshore, the Midwest, NY, PA, Ohio, and everyplace else where we can find the domestic resources; (b) nuclear power; (c) refining and distribution; (d) coal; (e) wind; (f) solar; (g) thermal; (h) hydro; (i) conservation; (j) R & D; and (k) administrative, regulatory, and judicial reform. Indeed, the last item is perhaps the most important of all, because unless we streamline the regulatory and judicial process and limit the jurisdiction of both Federal and State courts to issue injunctions to people who have no direct, personal, and substantial interest in the proposed activity at issue, energy independence will remain illusory and at the mercy of bureaucrats and environmental wackos.
