Slightly off subject, but does anyone know how to catch grasshoppers for pet food? Seriously.

A bug zapper...but if your looking for live insects maybe the best place is a pet store. I had a female King Scorpion for two years until she croaked. I fed her crickets and roaches and the occasional treat of a dead mouse.

I’m hoping someone knows how to trap them live.

O.k.,
weird but eating grasshoppers won't kill one. Neither it seems will eating tomatoes. But a bit back ago, getting injected with heparin that
could be a death sentance. At least not unless they're contamted with Bou Quue bacteria of some sort (or a virus), or somthing.
Dude, when you're hungry you'll eat. When you need a job you'll work for $0.25 / day (F' you previous standard of living). I'll guarantee that if you need a job you'll do one better than an illegal alien (or cry out for government relief). One or the other. I'm just wondering if that's what the unions are bout.
What I'm getting from most of you all is that unions are SO bad that its best to de what? Look, when you're parents (or yourself) are diagnosed with cancer, think 'bout the evil of union.
I'm fairly certain that without the union negotiated benefits, there'd be no illegals here; we'd all be "illegals".
When do we start doing that, i.e., exportimg the BEST product ever manufactured in the U.S.A.? How come all the "bleeding hearts" labor, environmental, etc. lawyers aren't running off to Tibet or China? For crying out loud. Ever see video of those pieces of shit countries?

I am also reminded of that acquaintance of mine who had his vacation in Portugal. He stayed in a small family hotel, and late one night, the landlord presented him with a local specialty whilst he enjoyed a good Port on his balcony. It was dark. He began to eat and really enjoyed the soft cheese that was on his plate. But after another bite, he felt something crawling in his mouth, something very much... alive... He asked the landlord in panic. The man replied: that's how it should be. There are live worms in there, it's part of the dish, my good friend. You don't like it?

A Denver-area woman says that she opened a can of spinach and found half a dead grasshopper inside.
I think i would have preferred the grasshopper over the 'canned' spinach.

Hehe...
the first line could be straight out of a Bob Dylan song. It’s poetry. But I would have left out the word ‘dead’, I think. It’s not really essential here.

She must think that spinach is made in a factory by elfen magic. Poor woman would freak out if she knew about all the critters that have crapped in and on her food.

Use a net. Either one on a long pole, or a cast net.

I would to catch a large quantity live using a baited trap. I did a quick search on the web a little while ago but didn’t see anything like that.

“A Denver-area woman says that she opened a can of spinach and found half a dead grasshopper inside.
No way. If she’s looking for a lawsuit, she should’ve killed the grasshopper; the canning process would’ve. “
I think they mean she found half of the dead insect in her spinach, not that the insect was half dead.

A Denver-area woman says that she opened a can of spinach and found half a dead grasshopper inside. "Our apologies, Madam. We shall ensure that your next can contains a whole one."

I just think it's very gross, Donna Labrador told the Denver Post. I will never eat another can of veggies again. That's weird. I thought Labradors would eat anything.

I just think it's very gross, Donna Labrador told the Denver Post. I will never eat another can of veggies again. Probably not spinach, anyway. Labrador planned to saute the spinach in olive oil to make a late dinner Wednesday to share with her 3-year-old daughter, Isabella. But she said the grasshopper was such a disturbing find she skipped dinner Wednesday and breakfast Thursday morning.
What a wuss. If she knew the half of what's allowed to get by in canned food....

Ugh...How very disgusting...I'll never force myself to so much as even look at something as gross as...CANNED SPINACH! It's fresh or nothing when it comes to spinach, if you ask me. Frozen, maybe...but never canned!

I once cracked open a nice cold bottle of Yuengling beer, took a swig and a small grasshopper slid out of the neck right in my mouth. I just dumped the bottle and cracked another. Cheers!
