There is no objective contemporary evidence for the existence of Jesus of Nazeareth. It does not mean that he didn’t exist. I suspect he did.

Most Christians do not even know this or care.

To the faithful it shouldn’t matter. To a scientist, it HAS to matter.

The evidence for Jesus is better supported than much of the evidence for other characters in ancient history. There were plenty of ancient texts written about Him by different people at separate times and places and written in great detail.

I always have to laugh that when if comes to Jesus and the amount of material written about Him, that it’s not good enough for some people, and yet they’ll accept as fact fewer documents about other historical figures.

I guess it all depends on how bad you want it to be true.

***I just gave you some objective contemporary evidence — even his ENEMIES at the time acknowledge certain facts, such as that he was put to death for blasphemy. When concurring sources and opposing sources agree on something, that is objective contemporary evidence. If you do not see this, then there is not a single historical figure who would stand up to your test, and you throw all of the science behind historicity under the bus — you’re no scientist.

It does not mean that he didn’t exist. I suspect he did.
***Then all you’re doing is taunting people, because earlier you said that someone couldn’t even prove Jesus existed. You’re just playing games and Jesus was right when he told us not to throw our pearls (of wisdom) after those who would trample on them.
