GATES MILLS, Ohio -- President George W. Bush made a pit stop on his way back to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Tuesday evening.
After leaving a fundraiser in Gates Mills, his motorcade passed a home with a sign asking the president to stop by -- so he did.
Bush got out of the car and spent a few minutes with Ruth Harris, who was celebrating her 91st birthday with her family.
Bush sat in a chair next to Harris and said "91 years old -- how special."
When neighbors noticed what was happening, they soon surrounded the president for a moment with him, too.

that’s a cool story
I really belive him to be a good man, just wish he was more of a true conservative. In alot of ways, he is the man for our times.
Clinton only would’ve stopped if she was celebrating her 21st birthday.
More like 18th.
I bet President Obama wouldn’t do that.
I think he has been a true conservative with a good heart in very trying times, times of war. War calls for lots of spending.
If I was in his place as trying as the border issue has been, I dont know if I could wall off America either.
//I bet President Obama wouldnt do that//
H*** no Senator nobama would not do it. nobama will sell us out so fast our heads will spin.
I love that man! I am going to miss him when he leaves office. He is one class act! He and Laura are true Christians and have conducted themselves with dignity and class. We will never see the likes of them again I don’t think. Now he someone running with hip hop on his IPIOD and filty crap at that and lacks any class and full of arrogance. To take the time to stop for this old lady probably topped for life experiences-what a class act Pres. Bush is!
On Aids and bail outs?
For the most part, I like the man, but he is no conservative on too many things and too good a friend to our nieghbors to the south.
Obama doesn’t celebrate birthdays...remember?
//Obama doesnt celebrate birthdays//
The only thing Obama celebrates is Obama
I think Pres. Bush is a good man, and he is infinitely better than that scumbag Clinton, but Mr. Bush seems to make the same mistake that a lot of government types, both large and small, make: he can be as compassionate and caring for the peoples of the world that he wants, but this country and its money are not his to give away. Give your own money to charity, Mr. President, and keep the taxpayers’ money focused on the business of running the USA. And if the people don’t want to throw the borders wide open to every Tom, Dick, and Jose that comes along, it is not your prerogative to overrule them.
good points
Amen!
