but if has gotten to the point of a raid, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that the intel is solid. so the entry team just wants the facts of the raid. they do not care how the intel was received. probable cause is the job of the investigators and all too often, they take the word of drug abusing crackheads who would give up their mother to avoid felony charges.
Those two statments together says a lot about their reasoning and mental capacity.

yes, sometimes the desire for numbers permits people to believe what they wish to believe. i think we are all guilty of that. it happens to be worse when cops do it though. but again, it happens relatively little. that is not a justification.
