If this were an effort to allow a guy two or four weeks in the hospital for major surgery only and not sick-time at home...then most of us would be willing to listen to the idea. I’ve witnessed cases where we had a guy with back surgery and he was to be out for six weeks...the company said fine...here’s 50 percent of your normal paycheck after you use up your regular leave. If companies want to arrange something like that...where you pay into a pot and this is some kind of fringe benefit, then fine. But the idea of us sponsoring a bunch of folks to take 15 days of home sick LV a year....just won’t sell. You can’t trust folks.
