How unfortunate. He could not have picked a worse target for these attacks. John McCain may be many things, but he is not a racist.

Yup. This is the crux of the issue. Any criticism of Obama is called racism. How is the Big O going to lead a discussion on race (for which he claims he is uniquely qualified) if he has a knee-jerk reaction to label his opponent a racist or a panderer to racists in the first instance. It cuts off all point of debate.

Sadly, the Big O will be no uniter on this issue. Not surprising given his 20 years of cowardice in the pews at United Trinity.

I am convinced that Barry learned from his earliest days as a toddler to use that guilt-causing ploy to get his way in everything. “You ....{whatever correction or criticism his grandparents were saying] because I look different.”

It is like breathing for him to challenge anyone with that comment.

I think that Americans are moving beyond being affected by that criticism, but Obama may not realize it, because his supporters and staff still buy the excuse.
