Is John McCain losing it?

On Sunday, he said on national television that to solve Social Security "everything's on the table," which of course means raising payroll taxes. On July 7 in Denver he said: "Senator Obama will raise your taxes. I won't."

You want stupid. I'll give you stupid. Obama Says Wild Bill (Hussein?) Hickok Was His Cousin.

LOL! That one is in the top-10 stupid things, I think.

What are the chances of McCain using Social Security as an excuse for amnesty? 12-40 million new legalized, forced contributors might be seen as a solution or am I wrong?

Juanito will probably try, but I don't think it will work. (I've heard it mentioned by other folks I know. The problem is that Juanito's amnesty will not import highly-educated, entrepreneurial foreign nationals who would be net contributors to the U.S. tax base but rather unskilled, uneducated foreign aliens who are eager to draw benefits.) The same goes for Hussein's entitlement programs. The U.S. Government is on very shaky fiscal ground right now, since foreigners appear to have figured out that it has no intention of ever repaying its debt, or, at least, that it intends to repay its debt with inflated dollars, an effective (but not technically) default.

The U.S. is on the edge of a financial abyss. It's a pity, though, that the idiots in Congress don't realize that, with one wrong move, we could fall into something that would make the 1930s seem like a walk in the park on a sunny day.

By definition, SS aren’t taxes, they’re fees.

Fees...taxes...surcharges...is there really a difference anymore?
