Is John McCain losing it?
On Sunday, he said on national television that to solve Social Security "everything's on the table," which of course means raising payroll taxes. On July 7 in Denver he said: "Senator Obama will raise your taxes. I won't."

In response to the headline; It would appear so.
Thus we are stuck voting not for the lesser of two evils, but voting against the eviler of two lessers.

This isn't a flip-flop. It's a sex-change operation. Henninger is pretty clever (unless he's talking about amnesty for illegal aliens, then he's a rodent.)

Of course I'm referring to privatizing SS - not raising payroll taxes.

I just heard McCain on TV saying it’s Obama, and not McCain, who wants to raise payroll taxes.
McCain has rejected raising payroll taxes as a fix for social security. In fact, one could make a case that that would not fix social security.
Social security’s problems need things on the table that will actually fix it.
It needs to be restructured.
