This tidbit only appeared in the ConnPost's online edition, and then only very briefly. It never made today's print edition. Also, there is no mention of the judge who handed down this sentence. I wonder why?

From the New Haven Register

Mother gets probation in baby’s cocaine overdose

The cocaine got into the child's system through second hand smoke!!

“Second hand smoke” as a cause of cocaine toxicity?

I say BS!!!!

These people were administering cocaine to that child.

Probation and Public Service. Sheesh.

If they were smoking enough crack around the baby for it to get that much cocaine it its little system by contact; I would hardly call that an “accident”.

Isn’t cocaine illegal? How do you kill a child and not have to serve any real time? Substitute tobacco for cocaine and I think these people go away for a long time. Abortion on demand and still yet, if they make it out of the womb it appears their lives still aren’t worth anything to leftists. And then they wonder when they commit murder why kids don’t seem to have any respect for the lives of others. I think it is kind of obvious.

I’ve never smoked cocaine, but if that means the same thing as it used to mean as it applied to cannabis smoking, then I think it a likely scenario.

The baby died over three years ago and they are just getting around to handing out probation.

“Brianna Bobbins died in April 2005 at their home in Ansonia. An autopsy showed the cause of death was a toxic combination of cocaine and a cold medicine. The death was ruled an accident.”

"What I can’t imagine is that any judge would give these losers probation? People who are this freaking stupid should not be allowed to be in society."

Does that include the judge?

The judge is a nice enough lady who is incurably and terminally liberal and, IIRC, a former legal aid attorney. Not that she was justified in giving the perp a base on balls or anything but she wants to preserve scarce jail cells for contempt citations of men behind on their child support and alimony.
