This is a desperate gamble with an election only a few months away. There must be a LOT of money at stake for her to stonewall this issue...

Pelosi thinks she’s a goddess, just because The New World Order made her Speaker. She said we have to save the planet. Only God can do that.

“First of all, it will not bring down the price of the pump for 10 years and only two cents at that,” Pelosi said. “Second of all, the jobs numbers, the fragility of our financial institutions, the downturn in the capital markets – all of these things, the energy prices to reiterate. All of these things contributing to that and these are the policies, the economic policies of the Bush administration which have failed and we have to take the country in a new direction.”

Wowsers!!! Economics is DEFINITELY not her strong suit. She probably hasn't noticed but, ever since Bush rescinded the offshore drilling ban enacted by his father and challenged Congress to allow domestic drilling and offshore drilling, the price of crude oil has dropped like a rock!!

It is also not only disingenuous, but an outright lie to say that we won't see any change at the pump for 10 years!!! Most oil industry experts speculate that crude from ANWR could be flowing in 4 - 6 years and offshore wells could be producing in 3 - 5 years.

But, I guess Nance is too busy pushing her book titled "Me, Me, Me and Me: A Memoir About the Most Influential Person in MY Life" to bother with what's happening in America that affects her job!!!

(Note to Nance - CONGRESS spends the money and sets the budget - the President makes suggestions, submits his wish list and signs the budget if he agrees with it - the current economic downturn belongs to you, Harry Reid and the entire liberal establishment! But, don't let facts get in the way of a good lie, Nance).

I would imagine there are a lot of her Democrat underlings in the House feeling the pinch this idiot creates everytime she opens her mouth. Wonder if the Dems could pull a coup and replace this stupid slunt?

Nitwits like Nancy Pelosi never seem to grasp the reality that they are not merely part of the problem--but they are a problem in itself--and certainly no solution.

If she were capable of comprehending this, she would have gotten out of the way long ago and devoted her life to knitting or croquet or stamp collecting--something she's qualified for. Maybe floor mopping. Something like that.

Maybe somebody could get Nancy interested in ballroom dancing. Or making those little cloth covers that go on toilet seats and toilet paper--no not that; those things are health hazards.

Do you think making fruit cakes would be beyond her? There would be a certain humor in it that the intelligent might find amusing, especially as they would quickly realize it was keeping her out of trouble--and out of the way of everybody else. Unless, of course, she managed to screw that up and wound up poisoning some people--not an unlikely possibility--and something to worry about that must be weighed against the benefits of getting her out of the way.

Somebody send Nancy a fruitcake recipe. Tell her it's her true calling. Don't worry. She won't get the irony.

And as for concerns about it--better that she screw up a fruitcake recipe than what's she's doing now!

Here's the storyline: Pelosi stalls all energy production through the election. The media dutifully slants stories blaming President Bush for the catastrophic prices. Obama wins the election, as the people are upset about rising costs. The Dems switch tactics, get the media to say how wonderful things are, oil prices drop due to measures beyond the Dems control as markets settle, and the Democrats maintain a stranglehold on America.

Remember when Bill Clinton was impeached and disbarred and fined for criminal activity? The media told us he had a 80% approval rating! What a lie. Unchallenged by a colluding, corrupt media, that controlled America from 1993-2001. Not Mr. Clinton, but the Media. The media is angry they lost control of the White House, when President Bush took over.

I just called Pelosi's office (202-225-4965) to chide her for not allowing a vote in the House on drilling. Part way through, the guy who answered the phone interrupted me and transferred me to the "comment line," or whatever he called it. I then left a message at that number.

Come on, Freepers, swamp her phones! Unless we put the pressure on our Congress critters, they won't budge. Make it politically miserable for them.

"credit Mr. Bush"

I'm sure all the Dems were screaming and shouting at Clinton when the Nasdaq tanked, the Dow started a downturn, and we had a real recession in 2000. It's all politics. While there are natural downturns the oil and credit problems can be laid squarely at the feet of the Dems. Without their meddling we would not be having near the problems we're having. Even given that, we've still not in a recession. Thanks to Bush's tax cuts.

“First of all, it will not bring down the price of the pump for 10 years and only two cents at that,” Pelosi said.

Actually, drilling for domestic oil will not affect the price at the pump for seventy-five years, and it will really cause gasoline to go to $15 a gallon.

Hey, Nan - if you're going to make sh*t up, go big. "And domestic drilling will cause an asteroid to hit the Earth, exterminating all life, except for Republicans and their wage slaves."

Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket!
