“I am not sure how it is prudent why someone who is about to jump needs to be tasered. “
At least they didn’t shoot him to keep him from jumping.
Damn! If that Zim Schwarze dame was coming after me, I would have jumped BEFORE the first taser malfunctioned...and the second taser wouldn’t have cause me to drop off the walkway because I would have been high tailing it out of there. That’s one scary looking woman. At least because the story calls Zim a “she”, I have to assume it is a woman.

I think it is a jolly good idea. Someone willing to commit suicide by jumping could be just as likely to commit suicide-by-cop.
To be fair I think most cops are good citizens and public servants. Their image is hurt by the small percentage of cops who are rogues or idiots. You would think that the quickest people to jump all over bad cops would be fellow officers because those cops make their job more difficult and sully their name but on here LEOs tend to instantly side with cops no matter how clear the evidence/video is against them.
Right, So you might as well push him off the ledge...
If you are worried about cops getting hurt stopping a suicide then they should just clear a space below and watch him jump and not bother trying to stop him.
