Carla Bruni has likened herself to Jackie Kennedy Onassis, another First Lady who achieved style icon status

The former model and wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy said she welcomed comparisons to the woman who brought glamour to the White House alongside her husband, John F Kennedy.

"She was so young and modern, and of course unconsciously I would project myself more like Jackie Kennedy than Madame de Gaulle, who would be much more like the classical French woman behind her husband," Bruni said. "There is a great photograph of Madame de Gaulle serving soup to her husband. I do serve soup to my husband but I wouldn't get photographed that way."
Bruni, 40, married President Sarkozy in February following a whirlwind romance.
Her choice of outfits for a state visit to Britain a month later, from pill box hats to chic Dior suits, drew immediate comparisons with Kennedy Onassis.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Bruni disclosed that she and President Sarkozy are trying for a baby. Bruni already has a seven-year-old son, Aurelien, from a previous relationship.
"I'd love to have children with Nicolas. I hope to, if I am young enough. It would be a dream," she said, but ruled out fertility treatment: "If it comes, I'd be the happiest person in the world, but if it doesn't come, I'm not going to tempt the Devil. If life doesn't give me another child, well, it has given me so much already."
Bruni enjoyed a colourful life before meeting the President and her past loves include Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, who was married to Jerry Hall at time. In one of her latest songs she croons: "I'm a child in spite of my 40 years, in spite of my 30 lovers."

A woman (especially a beautiful one) who is not able to be herself, and be so gracefully, is going to crash and burn.
There is one Mrs. Kennedy.
There should be one Mrs. Sarkozy.
And the distinction is essential, especially to Mrs. Sarkozy. I hope she gets it in time.

Poor deluded woman is fooling no one but herself. She lacks the class of Jackie. Not even close.

Jackie O didn’t sleep with every Tom, Dick and Harry or pose for nudie magazines either.
