Being for higher taxes is not a winning issue.
It most certainly is not.
It’ll be very interesting to see how everything unfolds in the next few months.
He didn’t say he would raise them, he just said nothing is off the table.
With regard to taxes, I never understood why candidates are forced to say they will never raise taxes anyway. I think taxes should be like the Iraq war: it depends on conditions on the ground. That being said, McCain is the candidate for lower taxes as compared to Obama. No comparison there.
So we need to be smarter than the divided left. McCain is 100 times better than Obama. That’s the main issue.
