Felt it big time here in Santa Ana. My computer chair took me for a ride and the clock fell.

I have heard that the resevoirs recede immediately after a good quake, due to simutaneous flushing.

Here in the eastern Coachella Valley, I'd guess we're 90 miles or so from Chino Hills....but we heard a snap (like a dove flying into the sliding glass door), followed up by a good thump about 6 or 7 seconds later.

Checking the USGS site, we were surprised that this wasn't just one of those little Anza-Borrego 4-pointers.
