Yep, people always can make time for what’s important to them.

Which political party fought to retain slavery?
Which political party instituted the Jim Crow laws, and went to the matresses in it's fight to keep them on the books?

Liberals want to apologize for evils that no longer exist. But they won't apologize for failing to acknowledge the present-day evil of Islamofascism! That says it all.

Pandering in an election year. Imagine that.

I wonder, if a reparations bill ever passes, would Barack Obama himself, who is a descendant of slaveholders and not of slaves, receive reparations?

Nancy and Dingy Harry don't speak for me! I will NEVER apologize for something I never did and for acts for which my ancestors weren't responsible. Keep your frakkin' phony, politically correct, guilt trip apology to yourself!!!

Talk about quick glancing headlines. I first read it I thought it said the House was going to appologize for Sheryl Crow.

One party consistently opposed slavery and Jim Crow and race repression, and one party consistently fought to uphold those things.
The Jim Crow, slavery, race-obsessed party wants us all to apologize so they don’t have to admit that it was them, all along.
I say, let the Jim Crow, slavery, lynch-mob, fire-hose and attack-dog party apologize for themselves, and I’ll be glad to give them a polite hearing if they are sincere and contrite.

I agree with this apology thing. Apologies for the house, on me. Personally I think the chinese should apologize for all the deaths caused the Genghis Khan and the mongol hordes.

Cohen is just looking for a way not to be unemployed next January. Memphis will not turn out for him. It’s too racist. He won by the black vote being severely split in 2006.

Only the DEms need to apologise.

You hit the nail on the head. As long as “hyphenated” Americans exist there will always be some whackey liberal apologizing for something we did or didn't do for them. Of course, their vote is expected in return.

No doubt the Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren of the freed slaves are going to cherish Nancy's apology, but I bet they'd like to be able to fill the tank without having to borrow money.
Now, about Nancy apologizing for the Mafia? When's she going to do that?

Apologies and reparations have been dolled out ever since the Emancipation Proclamation. Heck, the nation of Liberia exists as it does precisely to be a “wanna go back? here ya go” ‘reparation’.
