"He ELBOWS the cyclist CLEARLY knocking him off the bike... no grey area here"

Don't know if you've ever been hit by a cyclist going 20 mph but the chance of serious injury is very real. This is not a bunch of bicyclists "Riding for the Cure", they are anarchists who use violence, intimidation and vandalism to achieve their ends. The 2 officers are clearly walking to the left curb at a normal pace well before the cyclist comes into the picture. All other cyclist, save one other, give them wide berth. Watch carefully as the cyclist moves left and then turns back to the right, into the officer just before the collision. Yes he does launch into him, just as any sane person would do if 200 lbs was coming at coming at him at 20 mph.

I guess in your world he should have leaped out of the way of the speeding biker and been justly intimidated.

are you dense? the police officer CLEARLY throws an elbow at the guy

this is NOT proper police procedure

i am NOT supporting these idiot cyclists who are staging a stupid protest and ignoring the officers, but the officer is screwed for doing that

I blew up the video and watched again. The cop heads for the curb. There is a 4 foot square metal grate or access in the street up against the curb which the bikers avoid. The cop closes the distance as the biker tries to squeeze between the cop and the metal object. The biker does move slightly back to the right but I see it as him trying to thread the needle. There isn’t very much space between him and the curb and it looks like there are a couple of other pedestrians in the street right beyond the metal object. He needed to clear them as well. I’m sure the cop saw it as an invasion of his personal space but all the bicyclist seemed to be doing was trying not to hit anybody or drive over the grate or metal cover on the ground.
