It isn’t just bicycle riders who pull dumb stunts.
The gene pool got a little cleaning last week on Loop 1604 around San Antonio. A guy on a motorcycle rode between cars and a semi. The driver of the car in front of the truck couldn’t see the motorcycle, changed lanes, and the biker ran into the car. Splat!
Actually, it was right past Thousand Oaks on the 281 North access road where the incident I was talking about happened. You are right though, some of the motorcyclists in our area really pull some stupid stunts too. The way they weave in and out of the cars is just nuts. There is a biker bar on my way home and I have seen those idiots actually pull their bikes out into the middle of the highway and hold up traffic so the rest of the group can get out on the highway. They are extremely arrogant.

I rode a bike to work on freeways for about fifteen years.
Out here it is legal to split lanes (ride the white line).
The ONLY time I'd ever do it was when traffic was stopped cold or rolling about ten MPH bumper to bumper - always with the mental image of a door being opened for no apparent reason.
Today we have diamond lanes and 'fast track' with superbikes running the yellow divider at will because it's illegal to change lanes.
You only have to get that one wrong one time.
