We're more fortunate over here in Jim Greenwood's old seat, where "moderate" GOP incumbent Mike Fitzpatrick was edged out by Patrick Murphy in 2006 thanks to a sliver of Philadelphia which was gerrymandered into the district. Incredibly, Murphy didn't even win Bucks County!

This year the GOP is running a terrific candidate by the name of Tom Manion. As long as all those Bucks County conservatives who sat it out in 2006 come out to the polls this year, that liberal scumbag kid Murphy could find himself dumped. Here's hoping...

I have a check going out to Tom Manion this morning.

Patrick Murphy is a detestable little smear of slime who has spent the last two years snuggling up to Pelosi and Murtha, after running as a "Blue Dog".

He has taken considerable money from Obama's HopeFund PAC, and has obligingly endorsed Obama.

Murphy is billed as the only Iraq vet in congress, which is true. But in fact, he only served as a lawyer for the army. He fought the Surge tooth and nail.

Here's a clip of babbler Murphy stammering through a Hardball interview, refusing to answer whether he would have voted for going into Iraq. There was a more complete version of this on YouTube that seems to have disappeared. Matthews tried several times unsuccessfully to get him to answer the question, and once he realized he wasn't going to get an answer, he went right back to his normal ass-kissing mode.
