He seems like a nice man but it's just a bore of a choice...can you see him out on the trail bashing Barry? At least Rudy and Mitt do every time they're on TV. I like Mitt, personally, and think he adds charm, cash, smarts, and vigor to the campaign. Besides he's great on economic issues where McCain is weak. And since he saved the Olympics, and he's going there, it would make perfect sense to pick him. But that's just moi. ;)

I was in the Republican Party in MA when Mitt was governor and I went from excited to jaded about his administration, and I do think that his overambitious, will do or say anything for a vote image is unfortunately earned. I also think he’s a real problem for the evangelical vote, whereas Pawlenty I believe is a Baptist. But I agree that Mitt is very bright and talented with loads of good, real-world experience. If I were from MN, I’d probably know enough to be rolling my eyes!

I just hope this is weak trial-ballooning and McCain won’t suffer from premature running mate selection!

Good point about the cash. McCain will be at a big cash disadvantage against Barack. Mitt could help make that up.

I personally would be fine with Pawlenty, but would definitely prefer Mitt.
