To: Das Outsider

My mom’s dad (the one I quoted) worked in the shipyards (Ingalls) during the war. My mom gave me his old steamer trunk, and it was empty save for a set of brass knuckles, which mom said he’d carry to work each day. I gave the knuckles back to her (she never knew they were in the trunk ‘til then) as a keepsake.

Mississippi, should have known. Those guys worked themselves to death at Ingalls.
