Missed the name,,,,,,,
His reference to "neocons in the Bush administration" piqued my interest. Could it be Tom Piatak? I've have my suspicions.
Savage has had Piatak on the show before, but he's also done softball pre-recorded interviews with Ben Wattenberg and the like, in defense of leftism as conservatism.

Aha!
My suspicions were wrong again, but he certainly sounded like a traditional conservative in the vein of Piatak and others.
Perhaps I just get a kick out of the fact that Savage has had writers from American Conservative and Chronicles on as guests.

I had to tune out last week when Savage had Wattenberg on. Ordinarily, he has some pretty good interviews, i.e., Selwyn Duke and the like.
