DENVER -- Democratic National Convention officials say Barack Obama will deliver his acceptance speech to his party's presidential nomination from the 50-yard line of the Denver Broncos' football stadium.
Obama will be standing in a circular podium 6 1/2 feet off the ground when he makes the historic speech, with almost 6,000 delegates seated on the field.

Control booths and stand-up areas for broadcasters will be positioned on the other side of the field in front of Obama.....The draft plan has Obama walking to the circular podium along the sidelines on a 36-foot carpeted walkway.

Certainly a stroke of political theater to enhance the “building wave” image and to create a sense of “inevitability”.
But the last dumble who was “inevitable” had to slink back to her chair....
Lets hope that happens again.
