The birth certificate kerfuffle has run its course. His mom is an American -- ipso facto, he is, too. Ditto, McCain, whose citizenship the left nutroots have been trying to call into question.

It's time to address the issues. The two candidates' constitutional qualifications to run are met. Any energy wasted on this is just mental masturbation.

You may be right that it’s all a kerfuffle.

But NOT because of the mere fact that his mother was a citizen. Because his father was not a citizen, if Obama was born outside the U.S., the mother did NOT pass on citizenship by giving birth, because the law required her to have lived ten years in the U.S., five of those years after her 16th birthday. She was only 18 at the time of birth.

So, the question of the PLACE of birth IS decisive regarding Obama’s citizenship at birth.

Wrong on all counts. He was born in a foreign country, with only one parent a citizen, and that parent fails the requirements of residency. He is not a U.S. citizen, and certainly not "natural born."

Without the BC how do you know who his mom is?

This story has not run it’s course as you would like to believe. Actually, the birth certificate AND dual citizenship discussion is very much alive and somewhat vibrant. I fear you are one of those that wish it would go away - “get back to the issues” blah blah blah. An issue is when someone is illegally running for president Yes? I kinda give this more weight than.....
Wait~! What issues has BO talked about? Let’s see?... Disses the military and ignores their accomplishments and uh, wants to tax anyone he wants and redistribute to those he deems worthy. Opps. Almost forgot - 2nd ammendment waffles and redistribution of wealth(sorry, just said that)

In fact, other issues in and about OB make(thankfully) little difference since it’s pretty much proven that he is a manufactured imposter with no claim to the throne to which he aspires. The bits and pieces are falling into place. I don’t claim to understand all the nuances to this saga but I do feel the Soros clan will be implicated/exposed for trying to buy our goverment. I also personnally believe that some very incrediblely(?) stupid government “others” will be tied to Mr. Soros et al. It should be lovely in November when the touted demo takeover of our government turns into a “vote no” route - albeit in favor of a limp dick republican.
Just my opinion....

You can’t just have a parent who is an American to run for President. According to the Constitution, you have to be born on American soil.
