Obama has “cult like worship” from a large group of the democratic base (albeit, not all). They will work for him and his candidacy tirelessly because they “believe” in him (why, I don’t know).

The religious right felt that way about Bush in 2000 and 2004, giving passionate support in dollars, hours and votes in both elections. Who feels that way about McCain?

I disagree with you. I was a strong supporter of GW Bush, especially in 2004. I did not have a cult-like passion for him. I have a passion for my country and my freedom and the freedom of my fellow citizens.

We had been attacked on 9/11 and felt George Bush was the best leader to keep us safe in these perilous times. He has proven to do just that.

Those that blindly support Obama have no such foundation on which to base their support. They are taken with his ability to speak to large crowds and the fact that he would be our first Black president.
