From NBC's Jim Miklaszewski In his official capacity as a sitting US senator, Obama has every right to stay in touch with America's men and women in uniform. According to Pentagon officials, the problem was that Obama's request to visit Landstuhl included two members of his campaign staff -- retired Major General Jonathan S. Gration and Jeff Kiernan. US military officials in Germany informed the campaign the two political operatives would not be permitted on base.

Pentagon officials say Gration was the campaign's point of contact at Landstuhl in arranging Obama's visit and "got torqued" when he was told he would not be permitted to join Obama. It was Gration who later suggested to reporters that the Pentagon short-circuited Obama's visit.

These leftists are psychotic, delusional, moronic...... they are all convinced that there was no fault by Obambi’s political operatives who tried to blunder and bluster through the normal DoD rules for this sort of thing, that it was some nefarious plot by Bush, Cheney, Condi Rice, and unnamed Pentagon GOP operatives scheming to deprive our wounded troops of the blessings of a visit from the Obamessiah with his CAMPAIGN STAFF.

Carl Cameron seems to have gotten the straight scoop from his sources in the DoD: Obamascum knew the rules well in advance, tried to pull a fast one bringing in the two campaign staffers and media, DoD held to its well-established rules, and the Obamascum went away whining and whimpering.

Now their ‘spin’ attacks mount, led by the loathsome David Axelrod, and they throw all kinds of crap at the wall hoping something will stick: Pentagon conspiracy, White House interference, McCain interference, etc. etc. Everything except the apparent truth, which is that Obambi & friends don’t think they have to obey any rules, and when they are not allowed to stage a campaign event in a US military hospital they whine like little pussies.

The second and third operatives of Obamas crew there...probably started to freak out because they don’t want any bad press. So they called Obama Central....halted the entire tour of Landstuhl....and that was it.

These guys were not politically astute. The safe choice was abide by the Pentagon rules for Obama to see the troops alone. They thought they could control the "spin" but they were wrong so now they come off as @sses.
