Okay. It's been awhile. Will issue a freeper challenge. In addition to my monthly will donate an additional $10.00 for every freeper pet picture posted. (One pet per freeper...fair is fair :o) ) Deadline, 24 hours from now.

Am doing this in memory of Rusty....our beloved Ridgeback we found on FR 4 years ago....a California freeper neighbor of the dog put out an appeal on FR to rescue him from a LA shelter. He was the most expensive "pound puppy" one could have...shipping him to Ohio...having to fence in the yard...he had a thing for walking through screens...and on and on and on. But what a wonderful four years we had with him. He died peacefully of lymphoma 2 months ago. I'll try to post a link to the thread I did about him at the Finest a few years ago.

You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of dear Rusty. We lost our Junior, a 7-year-old Mastiff/Pit Bull mix, to lymphoma two months ago on Mother's Day. Junior now rests at the edge of the black locust thicket that he loved to chase rabbits through.

In answer to your generous challenge, I give you Annabelle and Buster, my darling goat babies.

Wonderful Idea and a Great Tribute to Rusty!

This is a picture of my ex-boyfriends dog Benny.. He is a Border Collie mix ( part Bear maybe? :) and was rescued at age 3 from Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro, NJ. I got to be Benny's mommy for 5 years (when he was 9-14 yrs. old).. He is now 15 years old and lives with his Dad, but I do get to visit him often.

Here's Max, my rescue Golden, pretending to be a guard dog. I've had him 6 1/2 years. He's probably about 7 1/2 and in good health except for some skin allergies.
