Goats will eat lawn, shrubs, trees and just about anything else within reach. When we built the goat pen, it included almost an acre of grass and a like amount of very thick wooded area. The briars and brush under the trees made it impossible to see through, let alone navigate. Within 5 weeks there was not so much as a leaf untouched from ground level to five feet or so high, which is as high as they can reach standing on their hind legs. They even ate the bark off of some young, tender trees. ;-)
