He spoke in Berlin "not as a candidate, but as a citizen of the world" or words to that affect. Well, a "citizen of the world" can certainly visit injured troops in a military hospital.

I've heard MANY politicians (mostly Republicans) will visit VA hospitals WITHOUT A NEWS CREW - gasp! - because it is the right thing to do. Barry could have visited the troops in the hospital - maybe one or two would have been from Illinois - and visit as a US Senator! What a concept.

It would also be an opportunity to see a "reverse-Patton" whereby an injured soldier slaps the crap our of Barry for being a coward and stinking up a place of honor, then send Barry to the front.

I believe the reason he did not go, was he was afraid of the reception he would get from the troops.

I heard this morning that Barack himself has been to Walter Reed to visit wounded vets without cameras. If true, I give him credit for it. But when he thought the cameras mattered, we see where his allegiance was. Perception over substance for him. Personally, I think this tour was a disaster. But he could chance it because he knows the media is for him. But the nasty truth is that with the alternative media today, even the MSM has resort to the truth rather than be outed. Their numbers are slipping and they want to keep their jobs.

I’d sign up for the pay-per-view of a “reverse-Patton” on this empty sack. Thanks for putting that concept in my head for the rest of the day.
