Why doesn't he do his shopping in the USA?
If he shopped in Germany he must have paid a fortune for whatever he purchased with the value of the USD against the Euro!
We got problems to solve in the USA and he's SHOPPING???
Wonder if he was smart enough to figure out that gasoline in Germany costs around $11.00 a gallon?
I doubt that “time” constraint were the real reason behind his not visiting the Troops. He'd rather entertain the Germans than pay tribute to our Troops. Even the Germans gotta think this guy is a dumcoff.

Just as well he cancelled. Will save a bunch of soldiers from being asked to “volunteer” for photo ops.

This is far more newsworthy than anything this empty-suit phony said in his canned speech.

Is the campaign still blaming the Pentagon for denying Barry from visiting troops. Here's another contradiction: He spoke in Berlin "not as a candidate, but as a citizen of the world" or words to that affect. Well, a "citizen of the world" can certainly visit injured troops in a military hospital.
I've heard MANY politicians (mostly Republicans) will visit VA hospitals WITHOUT A NEWS CREW - gasp! - because it is the right thing to do. Barry could have visited the troops in the hospital - maybe one or two would have been from Illinois - and visit as a US Senator! What a concept.
It would also be an opportunity to see a "reverse-Patton" whereby an injured soldier slaps the crap our of Barry for being a coward and stinking up a place of honor, then send Barry to the front.
