you certainly informed everyone of your opinion of this error — but you’re a little light on the specifics of the error itself. what did he say, and in what way was it wrong?
no this isn’t a troll. it’s really impossible to tell what the error was from your post, except that it has something to do with walls in belfast.
I thought so, too, but the Mod removed Gannett material, hence making it unintelligible. Click the nice “history” link at the top for the full story.
The administrator, Comment #6, edited the quotes out of my post shortly after I posted this — because I had quoted a USA Today article — which, I just learned, is a no-no.
I will re-write properly (I hope) here:
Obama speech text:
“Not only have walls come down in Berlin, but they have come down in Belfast, where Protestant and Catholic found a way to live together;”
Transcript from Drudge — confirmed by CNN.com transcript — and my ears.

“The first barriers were constructed in the early 1970s, following the outbreak of “The Troubles”. Originally few in number, they have multiplied over the years, from 18 in the early 1990s to 40 today; in total they stretch over 13 miles. Most are located in Belfast.
What the heck is the mistake? Just an opinion stated (which may very well be legitimate) usually doesn’t fly around here...
