Great post, yes unexplained objects are seen. One of the most studied was the photo analysis by Dr. Bruce Maccabee, (his PhD is in optics).

I believe three freepers (or their spouse) have seen a similar craft to the McMinnville photos.

Here is an an enhanced photo I took of an object over Las Vegas (from poolside at the Paris hotel/casino) 3 or 4 years ago. Note that the red glow around the object was analysed as a plasma field.

My opinion is that the above object in the photos is something we developed. As for the McMinneville object, I doubt we had that type of technology in the 40's.
