Novak was going east on K and had a green light at the 18th intersection. The green light is also for peds to cross 18th. Novak didn’t want to cross - he wanted to make a left (or a right?) and hit the guy while turning into the ped traffic. The green light means the guy got the walk signal.
It’s not uncommon that cars have to wait a while to make the turn there or at other intersections.

What did Senator Hillary's chauffeur get when he hit a human being while she (Her Heinous) was in the back seat of the limo?
If I remember right, they were zooming along on the way to or fro an airport (?)

If this is what Novak said, and the witness’ statement of events leading up to this comprise the totality of the encounter, then he (Novak) incriminated himself..BIG TIME!
Any half-a$$ed TV lawyer would have a field day based on this...(if true)

Couldn't agree more!!! Hit & run vs a pedestrian, no matter who is at fault, is inexcusable!!!
