That's not correct. Again, Indianapolis was formerly on F1's schedule. It counted for the points. Even following its removal from the schedule, a lot of F1 drivers continued to race at Indy. Indeed, F1 drivers have a long history at Indianapolis.

Best everything. Best race, best venue, best month, best trophy, best traditions, best qualifying, best PA announcer, best crowd, and, yes, best track. I don't see anyone else kneeling down to kiss a row of bricks at any other track on Earth.
Le Mans is an endurance race. Not a drivers race. It goes for 24 hours and lots of changes of drivers. It is all about engineering.
Le Mans and Indy make up two of the three legs of the Triple Crown for motorsports. These races are historically important for motorsports. And not a driver's race? Is that why Tom Kristensen wins year after year with umpteen different teams?

It is correct. The Big Indianapolis 500 was never part of F1 at least since the 70s. And I’m petty sure never. For a while Indianapolis was an F1 venue and terribly supported as a F1 venue. There is no one winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. There are different winners for each class. The funny thing is that in the American version of this the ALMS, there are only a handful of cars. Lots of passing because there are four classes on the track at all times. But passing within each class is rare!!!
