Seriously, though, living in a country just emerging from a war would give me a different perspective than worrying about foreign elections.
The MSM will report that Obama’s photo op in the Middle East has brought peace and love to the troubled region, ending thousands of years of hatred and strife. Now all we need to do is elect him!! Al Gore has taught us that any story can be sold if it’s packaged properly.
It may be that in an unsophisticated country such as Iraq the journalists have some silly misconception that they are there to report the news instead of to try to run their country by creating it. They’ll come around.
Guess the follow up question should be what has the reporting been like when non-godlike americans of political import visit?
