Slaying Suspect Once Found Sanctuary in San Francisco

The man charged with killing a father and two sons on a San Francisco street was one of the youths who benefited from the city's long-standing practice of shielding illegal immigrant juveniles from possible deportation. Edwin Ramos, 21, is being held on three counts of murder. Ramos is a member of a violent street gang and was found guilty of two felonies as a juvenile. In neither instance did the city's Juvenile Probation Department alert federal immigration authorities, because it was the agency's policy not to consider immigration status when deciding how to deal with an offender. Three months before the killings Ramos was arrested after police pulled him over. An alleged gang member in the car tried to discard a gun, but police recovered it and later concluded it had been used in a double killing. The police report said Ramos and his passenger were both active members of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) street gang.

It's on record that hundreds of illegal felons have sought refuge in San Francisco because of its "sanctuary" status. It's also been documented that these felons are responsible for a highly disproportunate number of violent crimes. Mayor Gavin Newsom and his colleagues will never be charged for complicity in the murder of the many innocent victims of these illegal alien murderers. But at the very least they're guilty of the crime of moral turpitude. Try as they will to put a "smiley face" on their city policies which have created an environment of murder and mayhem, they have the blood of these innocent victims on their hands. But Gavin Newsom has a smiley face. He is making plans to run for governor; a prospect that Lou Dobbs described as "utterly astounding."

I saw this woman on TV. In a moment she lost her entire family; two boys and her husband. I can’t imagine. Devastated is too easy a word for it.

Bill O’Reilly took this on tonight. He couldn’t seem to find a word low enough to describe Newsom.

In re illegals and just going straight to blasting Newsom, does anyone besides me recall DUI checkpoints around Oakland, and the Oakland PD nabbing a great many illegals, and who were driving while "over the limit"? And the Leftwing Illuminati erupting into charges of 'RACISM!" against the PD and politicians? So bad was the ruckus and backlash against arresting, the leftwing had the gall to assert that the DUI checkpoint had been set up ONLY in order to nab illegals.

Bottomline, illegals who were nailed as "over the limit" had no charges against them.

I wonder what would happen if some concerned citizens, perhaps with military experience, decided enough was enough and formed gangs of their own to fight a stealthy vigilante war against gangs like MS-13 and take the country back.

And Newsom is also the guy who a few weeks after taking office made the arbitrary decision to direct the city-county clerk to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. And he and his lunatic fringe supporters insulted the military and all Americans by refusing to allow the USS Iowa to take port there. This is a truly historic ship and a worthy historical monument. Their “reason” was opposition to the war in Iraq. Even a way-out lib like Dianne Feinstein was outraged.

Providing sanctuary for criminal illegals is like late term abortions for the left - there is simply no way to justify their position. The sad part is they won’t change their position even though it’s indefensible.

Exactly. It’s very similar to the whole illegal alien debate. Robert Rector of Heritage and numerous other scholars have done exhaustive studies and extensive research that clearly show that the illegal invasion is a very serious threat to our culture - socially, economically and politically. In fact, Rector says that if this isn’t curtailed it could result in the collapse of the whole American infrastructure within about 20 years. But as you said, with the Left it just comes down to “don’t confuse me with facts.”
