Obama raises profile of mixed-race Americans
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | July 21, 2008 | Tyche Hendricks

On blogs and around kitchen tables across the country, mixed-race Americans are celebrating the fact that, for the first time, a biracial person, Barack Obama, will be a major party's nominee for president of the United States.

Obama identifies as African American, and much has been made of the historic nature of his candidacy, which could make him the country's first black president. But he also frequently evokes his mixed heritage: his white mother from Kansas and his black father from Kenya. His presence on the national political stage is being embraced by multiracial Americans as an opportunity to focus attention on the growing population of multiracial people and deepen the debate about racial identity.

Yesterday, the lovely, but mean-spirited as hell, Michelle did this for “U.S. black women.” Those Obamas are truly miracle workers! A Messiah and Messiahette if you will!

If we have to hyphenate him, I say he’s more of an Airhead-American, Empty-Suit-American or Bubblehead-American than any other mix.

HELL NOT HE’S NOT. HE’S 50% WHITE 37% ARAB AND 13% BLACK AFRICAN FROM HIS FATHERS SIDE. HIS NAME ALONE DENOTES HIS ARAB ANCESTRY.

My wife too. Put gently, she thinks BO is considerably worse than unsliced bread.

And she's half one of the really, really high-on-the-victim-list races. It's so condescending to think that she ought to be so stupid, because of her race, to buy the Obamessiah crap.

Truth be told, he probably has slaver ancestors on both his mother's and his father's side. Just at different points in the slavery supply chain. The Arab blacks lorded it over the kaffirs and were in the business of capturing them and selling them to European slave traders. Actually, the Muslims are still doing it!

Obama could be any race...it don’t make no never mind. What does matter is WHO is behind him?

Fiction. That is, the entire premise of this article is fabricated out of whole cloth. I know many so-called ‘mixed-race neegros’-—not one has raised their profile.

Thanks to rapes during slavery, mostly all, in this country, are ‘racially mixed’.

Yep - I'm mixed race as well but, for my whole life to the present, never gave it any thought - until Obambi made skin color and race an issue.

For me, it's always been about character and in this regard Obambi's a disgrace.
