how do we make a u-turn on the sad road to socialism?
Study up on the Constitution for the country, the states and the charters creating your county government.
Help to find and elect people who will faithfully follow these documents and throw out laws that don't follow them.
If a person who is elected doesn't follow their pledge, get them out of office as soon as possible by recall, or impeachment if necessary.
Put other crooked politicians in jail to do time. There is a significant amount of documented graft and corruption in all levels of our government at this time.
In your own life, live by these rules and teach your children to live by them. When others immigrate to this country make sure that they understand these rules and don't let them become citizens unless you're sure they too, will uphold them.
It's pretty simple, and it starts with each one of us, as individuals and sovereigns.

Nice to meet you hedgetrimmer. I can’t think of any laws being rescinded. I believe B.J. issued more executive orders “stroke of the pen law of the land kinda cool” than all prior presidents combined. I’m not aware of a single one of those being reversed. I think it would be easier to bring back tar and feathers, or maybe a tea party or two.

We DO NOT have control over who prosecuters determine to put up for trial. We DO NOT have a Justice System anymore. Today we have a legal system. Guilt or innocence isn’t the prime concern anymore. Political correctness makes a large determination if you will be prosecuted or impeached.
