Good then. Don’t be surprised when the new fad is something severe like Autism because it gives carte blanche prescriptions for normal behavior by way of Prozac, Haldol, and Valium which just had the age of prescribe lowered to increase demand and supply.

All those parents suffering are getting bounced out by the new welfare stimuli package and they are so beholden to the disease that they can’t see what they are doing to their own children by proxy. Watered down and given acceptance to the cartels of legalized drug pushing.

I don't know if you are aware of this trend, but let me share another very common experience.

What I've been seeing for the past 5-7 years is labeling kids that formally would have been educable mentally retarded as autistic. The rationale is that both sets have difficulty with age appropriate behavior, failure to adopt behavioral norms, and failure to sustain long term relationships both in and out of school. Plus, it is easier to look across a table and tell a parent that Johnnie is autistic rather than retarded. I've also been on the dissenting end of those meetings too and been the only one who voted NO to an autistic label. That's been a problem, especially when the parent sees me as the enemy saying her son is retarded, and then the next week she finds out I'm the case manager for the child. Good times there I tell you

But I shared this for a reason, I cannot imagine that our district is the only one to come up with this ruse and may explain why nationwide numbers of EMR/TMR are coming down whilst Austism is going up. My county is just not that smart - it has to be going on else where
