Obama “ would do the same thing to the Supreme Court as McCain”
Maybe, but Obama has promised to name liberals to the court. McCain has promised to name conservatives. They could be lying, but it is a sure thing that Obama will keep his word. There is a least a good chance McCain will.
He's kept his word about so little for so long, why do you think he will keep his word on this? He would be breaking at least the spirit of his words to the Hillary supporters when he all but promised them another Ginsburg or Meyers. He would be appointing judges that would toss out some of the legislation he is most proud of passing - stuff with his name on it. I don't think there is a chance he would risk that.
