As I said before, the primaries are OVER, and like it or not, McCain IS the Republican presidential candidate.

If you are not supporting McCain you ARE helping Obama.

You can’t wish away reality.

If you are not supporting McCain you ARE helping Obama.

Then, it is impossible for anyone to be conservative in America, and it is impossible for anyone not to be in favor of Big Government micromanaging our lives.

If this is true, then we are no longer free citizens but subjects and serfs; then we are no longer governed but ruled. If what you say is true, then the reality is that the greatest experiment in liberty and individual freedom is no more.

You can’t wish away reality.

I am reminded of a scene from C.S. Lewis' Narnia tale The Silver Chair in which the evil witch used magic in an attempt to enchant Jill, Eustace, Prince Rilian, and the marsh-wiggle Puddleglum into believing the lie that there was no Sun, no moon, no Narnia, no lions, and no Aslan. After stomping on the witch's enchanted fire, and in pain, Puddleglum said:

"One word, Ma'am. One word. All you've been saying is quite right, I shouldn't wonder. I'm a chap who always liked to know the worst and then put the best face I can on it. So I won't deny any of what you said. But there's one thing more to be said, even so. Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things - trees and grass and sun and moon and stars and Aslan himself. Suppose we have. Then all I can say is that, in that case, the made-up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones. Suppose this black pit of a kingdom of yours is the only world. Well, it strikes me as a pretty poor one. And that's a funny thing, when you come to think of it. We're just babies making up a game, if you're right. But four babies playing a game can make a play-world which licks your real world hollow. That's why I'm going to stand by the play-world. I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it. I'm going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn't any Narnia."

Maybe you're right, and we must choose between two liberals. Maybe you're right, and we are completely screwed. Maybe things like the Constitution and conservatism and individual freedom and liberty are all just made up. But you know, the reality you present to us is pretty crappy. What we stand for beats the defeatism and pessimism you spew at us. And that's why we choose to believe in freedom and liberty and choice, no matter what you say. We are on the side of a conservatism even if there isn't anyone around to lead it. We are going to live like conservatives even if conservatism is just made up bunk.

To hell with McCain, to hell with Obama, to hell with your pathetic "reality." There will be morning in America so long as there are good and honest Americans who believe in individual freedom and liberty.

That statement is false and fails to hold up to scrutiny on many levels.

It also reeks of the last, failing argument of one who is ashamed of what they are doing and wants others to share in the shameful activity.

Your statement also assumes that all votes are owned by either Democrats or Republicans. Sorry, I reject that assumption.

In reality, you seem to define "Sheeple" in that you are going into a losing situation with your eyes wide open and in full acceptance.

With your 'Here I am, lead me, I need and desperately desire to be led and I will not challenge the burdens you make me bear' you will only continue to get government that is increasingly worse.

A vote for McCain in 2008 is a vote for Hillary in 2012 and 2016, I fear.
