A more interesting comparison would be breakdown of urban vs suburban vs rural crime.
Casual observation would lead me to believe that major democratically controlled cities have highest gun crime.
Those that have strictest gun laws for law abiding citizens.
But then again I might just be racist /s

Does it have a great deal of other very restrictive laws?
