The actual déjà vu evoked by Obama is the ill-starred Carter presidency. The parallels are ominous.

And McCain is a much weaker candidate than Ford. But he seems to seek defeat just as much.

That charismatic American politician Jimmy Carter II, aka Barack Obama... A bit of rewording and it would make for a most appropriate bumper sticker via truth.

does obama
delegate
or
is he a control freak?
jimmy carter and bill clinton were control freaks, the former more so than the latter.
ronald reagan, in contrast, delegated authority and monitored the results, and he was a leader.

He's got the only thing JFK had that made JFK a great president. He telegenic.
The rest of him is Carter both Jimmy and Billy.

Yeah, I’m a bit surprised as well. But a really first rate article. Sometimes a foreigner has a more illuminating point of view than us natives. What a contrast to most of our media who are really nothing more than a bunch of servile suckass supplicants fighting to see who gets to perform the Dalai Bama’s ablutions. They make me sick. Obama is a virtual nobody, a creation of a bunch of guilt ridden whites. Pathetic. I don’t even concede that he’s a great orator. Everything I’ve heard from him is nothing if not banal platitudes. I defy anyone to recite one memorable thing Obama has said. And he gets a pass on all his gaffes which are more numerable than Dan Quayles. “Fifty seven states?” “When we dropped the bomb on Pearl Harbor?” “When I’m Commander of Chief?” My God, what nonsense. And no, that Harvard degree means nothing since they’ve dumbed down the curriculum. His law degree is indicative of nothing in the way of achievement. No more than an Associate of Arts Degree from one of our local community colleges.

What will the folks in Missouri think? I don’t see this trip playing well among the folks in the heartland...
“Europe? We have enough to deal with here in the US?”

Billy Carter was actually the brother with common sense and business sense. My Mother’s company did business with the Carter Peanut Company and she told me Billy was the one who ran the business.
