Pelosi is a radiclib who agrees wholeheartedly with the enviro-nuts. The enviro-nuts have been setting public policy for the last 35 years. Anyone who thinks they are going to give up power now without a big fight is being too optimistic.

I have to agree with you. I am on the environmental left and a registered Republican at the same time, talk about confusion! As a very good friend of the environment I do not and can not understand where Pelosi is coming from and find her totally brainless.

We have some of the best environmental laws and environmental safeguards in the world. Compared to most other countries in the world, we have a very clean country. I like that and value it greatly. If we stay within these laws and guide lines I can not see what is wrong with developing the natural resources we have.

I love to tell this story. In the mid 70’s Maine was facing a huge water pollution problem. Almost all pulp and paper plants were discharging directly into the rivers. Many environmental standards were talked about and lobbied for and against. Fed up with the political hassle, a very logical old legislator proposed and passed legislation that forced all pulp mills to discharge their waste water directly into the pulp mill's fresh water intakes.

As you can guess the mills screamed but the legislation did what it was designed to do and today Maine has pulp mills that are as clean anywhere in the world.

Sad...Pelosi could not possible understand this level of logic and reasoning.
