Riling Muslim leaders, one of John McCain's fellow Vietnam POWs defended the Iraq War Friday by saying, ``The Muslims have said either we kneel or they're going to kill us.''
''I don't intend to kneel and I don't advocate to anybody that we kneel. And John doesn't advocate to anybody that we kneel,'' Col. Bud Day added in a conference call with reporters arranged by the Republican Party of Florida on behalf on McCain.
Muslims and Arab-American groups quickly denounced what they described as the ''bigoted'' comments from Day, a Pensacola resident, Medal of Honor recipient and member of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth attack machine from 2004.
''This is as close to racist as it gets. These are cheap street tactics,'' said Khaled Saffuri, who helped organize Arab outreach for President Bush's 2000 campaign but is now a Libertarian. ``Even if this is called a mistake or a slip of the tongue, it shows a bigger problem with racism. McCain and the Republican party should denounce this.''

Khaled Saffuri - I don’t remember any Muslim apologizing to Americans for 9/11. I remember Muslims happily jumping up and down in Palestine/Gaza. I remember some MUSLIM Saudi Prince blaming us for 9/11. I don’t remember any remorse from any Muslim or Muslim country. BTW, if I were you, I’d be too busy making sure that another 9/11 DOES NOT happen in the United States instead of whining about a few ill chosen words.

Let’s see, he is quoting almost directly from the Koran so how in the he** could this be racist? Besides, since when is being muslim a race? I thought it was supposed to be a religion, not a good one but, still, a religion. I think the world has dumbed down so much people have forgotten the word prejudiced.
I am so tired of the MSM constantly misrepresenting the Swift Boat vets. They were not liars, attackers, or smear merchants. They spoke out about what they believed and challenged Kerry on points he never refuted. He never released the records and he never sued a one of them. That is the legacy of the Swift Boat Vets. They told the truth about a fraud who denounces them but wont face them.
