BEIJING: Chinese authorities have replaced top police and security officials in the Muslim dominated Xinjiang province, which is the hotbed of separatism and political violence. They have also closed down 41 "illegal" places of worship.
These places of worship were used as training ground for conducting a "holy war", Chen Zhuangwei Chen, the police chief of Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang province, said.

We should follow their lead if we plan on winning this war.

Terrorism against American citizens is often fomented and planned in mosques; they are breeding grounds of hatred and terror. That’s just simply a fact.

If Rage Boy tried that, he’d find himself under tank tracks before he could say, “Allahu Akbar.”

Obviously China would not be included in a list of countries I would want to live in. Visit? Yes. Live there? No.
However, when it comes to dealing with REAL threats, such as the one posed by Islam, they kick a$$ and make no apologies for it. This trait is one I really wish ‘W’ would have emulated domestically. Some day in the not too distant future the US will either declare Islam a non-religion and shut it down, or the US will learn to bow toward Mecca 5/day after some clown yodels into a microphone.

It’s important to note that the headline includes “Terror Threat To Games” which precedes the rest of the headline.

That darn Constitution, gets in the way of all the fun things. /sarcasm off
Plus we should not be like China..
Not sure we should condemn them just because they are "CHINA". Condemn most of the government "China" things, but really not the people.
You will note that they arrested corrupt police and public officials in this article. That is a good thing we need to look at.

"We do have this freedom of religion thingy..."
This is true. However there are limitations on freedom of speech (e.g, libel), therefore there can be limits on religion. For example, if I decided to create a religion today and under the tenets of my new religion I decide that a weekly human sacrifice must done every week and I alone must select anyone at random and stab them through the heart after I dance a little jig. Would I be allowed to exercise that right freely under the 1st Amendment? Of course not.
While we cannot define what the elements of a religion should be, we can define what they should not be. Let's say that we clarify under a Constitutional Amendment that a religion cannot violate the civil rights of people who do not share the beliefs of that religion. So if any religion *cough*Islam*cough* says that you as a follower of the religion you must kill nonbelievers, that religion is not recognized as one under U.S. law (and therefore not afforded any special privileges such as tax-free status).
Does anyone have any thoughts on this idea?

One thing a government like Chinas will control is out of control radical idiots like these muslims. They’ll just blow the f@@@@@ mosques up. They can give a crap about religious freedom. Have to admit, it’s one way to control the mice isn’t it? The muslims can’t play their pathetic religious card over in China. LOL
Strange way of achieving your goal, but heh, I kind of like it in this case!!

Freedom of religion is one thing but terrorist training camps are another. If a mosque is converting peaceful people into radicals it is no longer a place of worship.
I am torn between liking radicals getting stepped on and hating a brutal government.

Let's say that we clarify under a Constitutional Amendment that a religion cannot violate the civil rights of people who do not share the beliefs of that religion. Your's is a GREAT idea. All we need now is a thorough debate on how to word it.

These places of worship were used as training ground for conducting a "holy war", Chen Zhuangwei Chen, the police chief of Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang province, said. Maybe they were. But I'm not going to take the word of a Communist party functionary on this.
To: KevinDavis
Islam is not a religion. It's a racist, murderous ideology masquerading as a religion. Has been since its birth.

“.. But just to shut down all mosques... It is not gonna happen..”
And nowhere in my post did I suggest such a thing. (Though, in all candor, I’d be thrilled if every mosque in the US just simply disappeared.)
