Teen age boys of today will never know what has been lost with the elimination of part time jobs as gas jockeys.

Before the advent of self serve gas pumps, gas station attendents were expected to wash the car windshield as a normal part of the service on every gas purchase.

One high school summer as a gas jockey was a real eye opener in more ways than one.

You would be surprised at the women from all walks of life who made sure the windshield washer got a nice thank you for his hard work.
When hubby or boy friend headed for the restroom or soda machine the skirts would come up - way up much of the time.
When he headed back to the car the hemlines would drop like the final curtain.

As a rule, the bigger and more expensive the car, the bigger and better the teaser.
